RB Keiwaun Miller picks up the first down on the Jag's second drive (mid 1st qtr). Despite being blocked, Panther Will Hawkins (#3) made the stop.

right: This Willie Dorsey pass was just beyond the reach of TE James Calloway on the Jag's 2nd drive.

...

Rico Brown gave the Jags excellent field position with this 35 yard punt return early in the 2nd quarter.

Here's something that the Panthers saw all to often ... Jaguar QB's in the open field. Together the two Jaguar QB's rushed 20 times for 149 yards and 3 scores. On his first play in a NWFL game, backup Leo Dickerson broke off this 12 yard gain and finished the day with 107 yards rushing and 2 TDs on just 13 carries. Dickerson came in after QB Willie Dorsey suffered a minor shoulder injury on the Jag's first offensive play of the 2nd quarter. In the first quarter Dorsey had rushed for 42 yards and a score on 7 carries.

The Jags opened the second half with 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by RB Dwayne Buckley (#4).

...
WR Damon McPherson was a bright spot for the Panthers with 6 receptions for 102 yards, including a this short slant pass that he busted open for a 49 yard gain on the Panthers only scoring drive.

...
On the ensuing kickoff the Panthers pinned the Jags down at their own 16 yard line. On first down Dickerson dropped back and heaved the ball deep down the field...
The Panthers answered Buckley's kickoff return with a 7 play 63 yard drive for their only score of the day - a sweet 9 yard pass from Todd Smith to Vince Henriz. Smith was flushed from the pocket, rolled right to avoid the pressure and found Henrix dragging across the back of the endzone.

...and hit WR Kendall McFarland with a perfect strike. McFarland blew past the Panther secondary en route to an 84 yard TD reception. He finished the day with just two catches, but for 123 yards.

This 7 yard gain by FB Rodrigo Garcia was the Panthers' longest run of the day.

...
Dickerson displayed his toughness with this hard-nosed 3 yard QB sneak at the end of the 3rd quarter that capped off the scoring.
