| Special
Teams and Defense definitely won this game for the Hawks! When you have
two kick off returns for touchdowns, and two interceptions taken to the
house for scores, your going to win.
Neither team's offense was very impressive. Lots of miscues between the QBs & centers. There must have been 4 or 5 snaps that went sailing over the QB's head, most of which turned out to be a drive killer. Too many 3 and outs to even count, which makes for a punters dream. This is attributed to good old fashion swarming defense, and big stops. Both teams "D" played pretty well against the other teams offense. The Orca passing offense was alright and they completed a lot of short passes. The Hawks passing offense is trying to break loose, but it appears they haven't quite gelled yet. There's a couple things I see, but I don't want too insult anyone, or have them take it the wrong way. Aaron Rambo was the bright spot for the Hawks passing offense hitting Jimmy McCollum for an 80 yard bomb early in the fourth. I'd definiitely say that the Hawks Defense, and special teams won this game for them. My standout picks for the game are: Hawks Special teams, definitely their Defense, and Jimmy McCollum with 3 scores. |
