Defensive ends Donald Hobart and Gregg Damminga force QB Brandon Hill into committing intentional grounding.
Terrance Dickens cuts back to daylight on his 32 yard touchdown reception.
The Raiders opened the game by purposely kicking the ball out of bounds to keep it away from the explosive Raven returners. After some intital success, the Ravens drive was overcome by penalties and they were forced to punt. The Raiders took over at their own 28. Two short passes from Kevin Bickler to Terrance Dickens set up 3rd and 1. Raven defenders Ryan Wood and Mike Thomas stuffed the Raider RB for a 3 yard loss forcing a punt. Bickler boomed a 50 yard punt that gave the Raider coverage plenty of time to corral the Raven return man. A penalty on the return pushed the ball back to the 7. The Raider defense forced a Sal Corona interception on first down but it was nullified due to an encroachment penalty. On 3rd and 2 QB Brandon Hill hit Doc White for 11 yards giving the Ravens a new set of downs. An intentional grounding call on 2nd down pushed the Ravens back to their 9 where they were forced to punt. The Raiders took over at midfield where Jose Moreno's punt went out of bounds. The Raiders needed just two plays to capitalize on the good field position. Bickler hit WR Chad Sorenson for 18 yards and then found Terrance Dickens wide open across the middle. Dickens was able to elude a couple of Raven defenders and outrun the rest for the final 20 yards to put the Raiders up 7-0.
The Ravens again started at their own 40 after the Raiders intentionally kicked the ball out of bounds. The Ravens went 3 and out and Jose Moreno came on to punt for the 3rd time. The Raider return man fumbled the ball and the Ravens recovered at the 33. They moved the ball as far as the 23 before bringing on Moreno to attempt a 42 yard field goal on the first play of the 2nd quarter. Moreno's boot bounced off the crossbar and through the uprights cutting the Raiders lead to 7-3.
Ryan Wood knocks down Doug Ashley's 4th down pass attempt.
On 4th and goal from the 2, Raider RB Beau Gates found nothing but Ravens in his path. DTs Phil Brown and Drew White made the initial stop.
Marvin Bronson returned the ensuing kickoff across midfield before kicker Jose Moreno flew in to make a touchdown saving tackle that any linebacker would have been pround of. Bickler connected with Sorenson for 26 yards down to the 18. A few plays later on 3rd and long, Bickler dropped back only to have Raven DT Drew White knock the ball loose. Bickler was able to fall on the ball. The Raiders went for it on 4th and 23 but Doug Ashley's pass was knocked down by Ryan Wood. The Raven offense again went 3 and out. A short punt was downed inside midfield and a personal foul on the Ravens set up the Raiders at the 33. Bickler hit Dickens for 12 yards and #32 for 7 more. A Ravens penalty moved the ball
Donald Hobart was too quick for the Ravens line on this sack.
down to the 9. Two runs by Beau Gates moved the ball down to the 1, but he was stuffed for no gain on 4th down. Taking over at their own 2, the Ravens were only able to get the ball out to the 9 before having to punt again. Moreno boomed a punt that was again fumbled away by the Raider returner. Lucein Transley-El recovered for the Raiders just across midfield. DE Donald Hobart pressured QB Matt Dennison into incompletions on first and second down and then sacked him on 3rd down to cause another Raven 3 and out. This time Moreno boomed a 54 yard punt that was downed at the Raider 1 yard line. On 3rd down the Raiders coughed up the ball on a fumbled snap that was recovered by DT Drew White at the 10. The Ravens were unable to move the ball and Moreno came on to boot a 32 yard field goal. The Ravens trailed by just 1 point at the half despite being outgained 121 - 42.

The Raiders turned the ball over on a botched handoff on their first play from scrimmage in the 2nd half. The Ravens were unable to capitalize and Jose Moreno's 48 yard FG came up short. The Raiders failed to move the ball and were forced to punt. Their punter bobbled the snap which gave Josh Kidd ample time to block the punt. Kidd also recovered the ball and returned it down to the Raider 20. The Ravens needed just 5 plays to capitalize. On first down QB Casey Hughes faked a handoff to the FB Geoff Mollichi and then was instantly tripped up for a 4 yard loss. Mollichi, without the ball, gained a yard before meeting the entire Raider linebacker corps and getting pushed back onto the QB. The officials thought the fullback had the ball and spotted it at the 19. The Raider coaches protested but without success. Two plays later EJ Ash went off tackle for 15 yards to convert a 3rd and 11. Then on 2nd and goal from the 6, Hughes and Ash teamed up on an option to put the Ravens ahead 12-6.

Casey Hughes drew the Raiders defense in before pitching to EJ Ash who went in for the score.
Mistakes by the Raiders special teams continued to keep the Raider offense off the field by twice roughing the Raven punter deep in Raven territory. The first five Raider drives of the 2nd half consisted of a fumbled handoff, 6 plays and out, 3 and out, 3 and out, and 2 plays and an interception.

Raven CB Mikel Connely made a spectacular zig-zagging tackling breaking 42 return on the interception which put the Ravens up 19-7 with 4:23 left in the game. The Raiders answered with a 6 play - 88 yard scoring drive, but 49 of the yards came on Raven penalties. The drive was capped off with a 10 yard Bickler to Dickens touchdown pass.
EJ Ash returned the Raiders onside kick attempt down to the 33 and the Ravens ran out the clock.
